I was looking over the Turn Undead algorithm for an instant kill. It goes like this.
(“Skill Level” * 20) + Luk + Int + “Base Level” + (1-HP/MHP) x 200 / 1000
Now what I\'m confused about is the (1-HP/MHP) part, can someone clear this up for me please?

It\'s how you read it. 1 minus your current HP divided by your Max HP. Now I gotta admit that had me confused too at some points. Also, I wouldn\'t want to rely on that at the mo. I seem to be able to do Turn Undead\\\'s instakill more than what I\'ve actually calculated...and that\'s without any buffs.
With 30 base luk and gloria and maybe rosaries if you want, I\'ve been able to TU 95% of the time.

ea:
IF HP = 2000 and MHP = 4000 then
(1-2000/4000)
(1-0.5)
(0.5)
There you go!!!

So if I\'m reading this business right, the more filled your HP is, the more effective the death odds are?
Rawr!
Actually, no. The more \"desperate\" you are, the higher the chances you get to kill an undead monster.
Ah, I was hoping that'd be the case. Thank you.
Rawr!
EH?! what you mean desperate?
The closer to death, you are, the more likely you are to induce death.

For short, the less HP, the more chances. Take this as an example:
Say you have 4000 MHP. Now, we'll take full HP and half HP as variables to calculate for the (1-HP/MHP) thing.
Full HP:
(1 - 4000/4000)
=(1 - 1)
=0
Half HP:
(1 - 2000/4000)
=(1 - 0.5)
=0.5
So imagine yourself having to kill a powerful non-boss undead monster with 1 HP left. THAT's what I mean desperate. Seems like a small deal but it helps.

I think it might mean for the enemy monster and not yourself?

Yourself. If it was the enemy monster then the instakill would be pointless.
how would it be pointless! the more hp the enemy has the higher chance for instant death! the less hp the less point for instant death!

Like I said, it works better with less HP. That means, if it was based on the opponent's HP, then that would be kinda pointless since it would be better to heal them instead. Besides, the chances are based on the Priest's HP, not the enemy.
