Magician's Guild, Geffen City

Mimica was working on her usual shift as the mages " shelf organizer ". She went left and right, fixing and arranging books that came her way. After finishing with the public records she went to the restricted area of the record section. She was allowed to go in since it was her job to arrange records and books. The Mage Guild's restricted section was different from the usual libraries. It had huge towering book shelves and was said to be inhabited by mimics and other nasties. Luckily for Mimica, she was only assigned to clean the sections close to the exit. As she was doing her usual cleaning, she noticed a light emanating from the deeper shelves. She went to check it out and discovered a book. But not just a normal book. This book contained a map leading to four parts Midgard. She gasped in awe and took the book home...

With a sly smile, the crusader replied, Really? I don't see your name on it..."

The grin on their faces were replaced with an annoyed look, they prepared their selves to attack but the crusader beat them to it

With a quick motion, the crusader cut through their clothes, revealling polka dotted underwear

"Hmm...nice panties for a guy" and with that, the crusader removed the helm it's wearing and revealed a face they never expected...

Long black hair...with black eyes simillar to that of a dark moon covered by the midnight sky...

The thieves awkwardly said "A...a WOMAN!!!...not just that...it's the princess!! Princess Reianne!!" they said bowing and trying to cover their polka dotted underwear from the princess

With an irritable look, She said "After calling me a boy? and tryin to kill me...you then dare call me princess?!!...I'm...no...PRINCESS!!" and with a twitch on her eye...the entire forest's peace was broken with loud clashing, bumping and crashing

Reianne then stretched her arms and her legs... "hmm...that's one great exercise"

She looked at the bushes and whistled a tune; and from afar her Grand PecoPeco arrived, it even stomped on one of the thieves...they all look so wasted and pitiful...all three...tortured



"That's what you get from messing with me"

One of them tried to speak but to no avail. She patted her Grand PecoPeco and rode it, she then wore her helm again, "And oh...before i forgot...the name isn't Reianne anymore...

with a flourish...she said...

...the name...is Dycee"

with that, she rode her Grand PecoPeco to the direction of Prontera

All of a sudden, she head guards and men shouting outside the Castle just beside the Church. She ran outside and saw a knight running with his sword on his hand.

"Brother! What's happening". Kaelence brother is a knight in the Kingdom of Prontera.

"We have huge bad news sis..."

They were staring at each other for a minute silently. People are still running around. Pecopeco's and Grand Pecopeco's are quacking in the background. Everyone else is on panic-mode.

"The princess is not here in the Castle."

Kaelence stared blankly at her brother. She held on to teh rosary in her pocket tightly.

"Powerful gods, where did she go....?"

'it's the same thing every year...' she thought....'the same boring thing'

Reianne does not intend to run away from the palace walls...she knows the consequences of what she've done...she is aware that right now, the entire nation of Prontera must be alarmed already...worried...that she's been missing since last night.

'Kaelence must be worried sick right now' she thought, with a vision of all the sermons she'll receive from her if she returned. They've been best friends since they were little, and her big brother has been very kind to her too...actually, they treated her like family, and they are the only family she've got right now since her parents died when she barely turned 15. They did'nt treat her like royalty, instead, they treated her as a good friend.

She chuckled when a vision of Kaelence' brother, over protective as always, loomed in her mind.

" I guess they'll be fine without me for a while" she said...though...she's not that aware if she said it right. She is still confused...for the news she received was quite rash...

Apparently, on her 17th birthday, she is to marry the leader of Amatsu, Prince Vaughn Athrun Alphonse. It's been decided by her parents since she was little...and she is disgusted by the idea of marrying someone she have'nt even met...and the fact...that she's never been to Amatsu herself since she's been confined in Prontera in as long as she could remember.

She snapped back to her senses when suddenly, Athha gained some speed.

"WHOAAA!!...hey Athha...stopppppp"

It seems that the Grand peco Peco saw a flying chonchon and started to chase it. With a loud thud, she fell on the ground when Athha suddenly halted for it hit something.

"Yeouch....arghh...." she groaned, rubbing her aching back. She removed her helm to breathe some fresh air, when she saw a thief staring at her.

"Are you okay miss?" it said

Reianne suddenly realized the stupid thing she's just made...removing her helm have given away her disguise!...before long...the person recognized her


" Princess Reianne! What the heck are you doing out here unescorted! There's some thieves here who could take advantage of you! Well... I'm a Thief but that's not what I meant. You see, I'm going off to Geffen and your peco bumped into me. And... "

the thief kept on talking. With an annoyed look, he looked at the thief as he handed her a rose

"Erm....i bet you did'nt stole this flower?" Reianne said with the smirk. She took the flower anyway. and shrugged, "thanks"

Actually, she hated roses...it reminds her too much of blood that stained her nation during the war. Only Kaelence' brother knows her favorite flower... the Stargazer Lily a flower that symbolizes peace and innocence perfectly...a flower that was never seen again since the Holy war; they used to grow them in the palace gardens...but the fire that the war brought destroyed them...turning them all into ashes. The flowers on their garden were now replaced by sunflowers since stargazer lillies couldnt be found anymore

She took her helm again, fixed her hair a bit and wear it back on.

"Please do me a favor...please don't tell anyone that you saw me here" , she said as she started to board Athha again.

"but...but princess!" the thief said

"...erm..and don't call me that" she said

"erm...ah sorry" the thief replied. "it's just that...you should be at Prontera right? i mean...with the celebration and all...and the wedding..."

with that, she snapped, "Who are you to tell me what to do?!" and she eyed the thief coldly. "Look I'm not in a good mood so I suggest that you go home now where you belong before I turn into something nasty"

The thief taken aback simply replied, "Sorry princess...I mean madame...i mean....arghhh....sorry I did'nt mean to offend you or anything....please don't kill me" He said as he walked backward. He then tripped unto a root of a tree and fell flat on his butt. He stood up quickly, his face all red, and bowed to the princess "Sorry"

With the sight of the thief's expression, Reianne laughed.

"You can call me Dycee...i go by that name now...how about you? what's your name?"

***meanwhile at Prontera***

Kaelance's brother looked at the sky...

"Where could she be?" he said, while grasping in his hand a few seeds he wanted to show the princess for a very long time.

"No, brother. You don't understand. It's mm bestfriend we're talking about here. She's almost like a sister to me."

"Kaelence, you're only 16. What can you do to defend yourself? An acolyte like you should just stay here."

Kaelence started to get irritated.

"I am going to see Mother Mathilda today. I wil take Peachy with me." Peachy is her savage bebe pet.

Kaelence walked towards teh South exit of Prontera. She smiled at teh guards, who sweetly smiled back at her even during teh worse days of their lives. Peachy hopping up and down behind her, with her green gear on her body.

I will ask Mother Mathilda to help me find Reianne. And it's about time I stop training to be a priestess. I think I'm ready now.

In teh fields of Prontera, there were people farming, some were playing, picnics, and some were hunting for cards. There was also a training ground for novices.

"You still have a task to do. Before you become a High Priestess, you should accomplish a mission."

"What mission?"

"That is what you have to find out. I will give you a clue: It involves working with other classes. And there is a certain book that will help you. But that is all that I can tell you. It's getting late. I think you better rest now. We still have a long day tomorrow for your further trainings."

Kaelence hurried to her bag and took out teh book that she has with her.

Is this teh book she's talking about? But it looks so useless.

When the thief introduced himself...it left Reianne with no choice...she just shrugged and let the thief tug along. "Suit yourself," she said, "But i have to warn you...Athha is one fast grandpecopeco!"

Indeed she was correct, it left the thief running for dear life to follow the princess

"Princess...huff...huff...please....huff huff...slow...down....a bit" Ray said

"Darn!! how many times do i have to say...stop calling me princess!!! call me DYCEE for God's sake!!!" she said as she let Athha gained more speed

"Okay...huff...huff..huff...okeeeeiiiii" the thief said as he collapsed on the dessert floor.

Reianne grinned.

good ridance!!!, she thought.

When she's about to live the poor guy behind....she heard a pack of wolves running towards Ray's direction. The poor guy....still have'nt regained his strength reached out for Reianne's help

"Dy...cee...." it pleaded. For the first time, the thief obeyed orders from the princess. She can't take to heart to see someone hurt...she hurriedly rushed to the thief's aid.

"GRANDDDD CROSSSSSS!!!" she shouted. She prayed for GOd's help that it work on wolves...she knows that Grand Cross is only powerful with the undead. Then she attacked with a few swipes of her sword. The wolves lay down on the floor dead.

She jumped down from Athha, her feet sliding on the dessert sands. She then helped the thief up.

"Here...have some herbs and some honey" she said as she handed Ray something to regain his health. The thief took them and revitalized his self.

"Thanks...princess Rei...I mean Dycee" Ray said.

"Ermmm...no problem...just don't get yourself into trouble again...I don't want to be liable" Reianne said.

With that...Ray closed his eyes into a deep sleep.

"Tsk...troublemaker!" Reianne whispered with a sigh. With that, she looked at the west where the sun started to dip down into the vast landscape. The entire sky is then filled with the ocher light of the setting sun.

Deeming that Ray is still weak to travel, Reianne took some dead tree branches and made a campfire. The stars are already out in the sky...she looked at the myriads of beautiful silvery glittering stars...before long, it was entirely dark except for these twinkling starlight. The cold dessert wind starts to waft her cheeks, Reianne closed the opening of her helm to protect her face from the freezing coldness.

Ray then moved a bit in his sleep while cuddled into the sands...pehaps.....feeling the cold chill of the wind too. Reianne took her manteau off and covered the little thief with it. She sat near the bonfire, Athha then lay down beside her and covered her with her wings. She felt Athha's warm feathers protecting her from the cold.

"Thank You Athha" she whispered. She was about to close her eyes when she heard some rustling in the sands.

Then...a voice very much familliar to her broke the silence.

"Who are you to camp this late at night?!! Did you know that monsters loomed in this dessert"

THe voice came from a knight...his silver helm reflecting the moonlight.

It was...Kaelence brother, Lioniel Mereced.

Ray woke up because of the knight's voice...he hurriedly took his dagger out. at the sight of the knight, he looked at the princess and run to her side. "Don't worry...i'll protect you from this bastard" he whispered.

The knight simply chuckled at the sight of the thief protecting a crusader. Reianne simply sighed (/pif).

At the sight of Lioniel, she wanted to run to his side and embrace him tight, but that will only divulge her secret. She simply bowed, coughed a little to give a masculine voice:

"I'm sorry for causing such a big fuss, I'm only a travelling crusader and this is my aprentice thief" She said and pushed the thief so that he will bow too. She then whispered to the thief Tell him who I really am and I'm going to feed you to the wolves, she said and gave him a stern look from her helm. Ray simply nodded with fear.

Lioniel, without seeing Reianne's face simply said "erm...your voice sounds a little bit familliar..." he sighed and said "nah! That's impossible! What's your name kind sir?"

WHAT THE!!! kind sir? you're so dead Lioniel!!, Reianne thought with a squirk.

"My name is Dycee" She said, "And this is my thief apprentice, "Ray"

Keep moving or more wolves and hodes from the sand will smell you. You don't know how aggressive monsters can be now. Vitality will be useless if you can't play tricks."

He hopped onto his pecopeco, leaving the two strangers thinking.

Reianne sighed back, You'll never change, she thought

"Where are you heading by the way?" she asked the knight.

With a worried look he said, "I don't know...you see, my sister went missing when she found out that our friend was gone"

With that, Reianne's eyes widened. "Mi....Missing?!"

The knight was shocked by her response. "Erm..is there something wrong Sir Dycee?" he said with one eyebrow raised.

"Uh...uhm...nothing...it's just that, it seems sad to know that someone close to a....a person...is...well....gone missing" she stumbled for words and faked a laugh. "ehehehehe"

Ray suddenly elbowed her and whispered, "I'm still here you know...I don't get what you two are talking about..."

Reianne stepped on his feet "Shhh...."

With a loud shout of pain. Lioniel eyed them both. "Are you sure nothing's wrong with you two?"

"aheheh....nothing really...I stepped on him by accident" Reianne answered abruptly.

Lioniel simply smiled and thought,

with that in his head, he composed his self. "Well gentlemen...I guess I'll be going then, nice meeting you Sir Dycee and apprentice Ray....I'm sure will meet again sometime" He gave them a salute and he went off.

Reianne looked as the back of Lioniel disappeared into the dark dessert night. She simply looked at the vast dessert with dispair.

"You don't have to repeat what I've said...I'm feeling guilty already you know!" Reianne replied with one eyebrow raised. "We have to find her quick...but with your condition...I guess we'll start our journey once the sun rises"

Ray simply smiled. "You don't have to push yourself too hard Princess Dyce" Ray said and patted her on the shoulder. "I don't know what's happening but I could tell that you have a lot of problems in your shoulders right now"

Indeed...he is correct...

"Well...enough about me..." Reianne said. "...and stop calling me princess...and DYCE...it's dycee okay" she said, but this time there's no annoyance in her voice. For the first time that day, she gave a genuine smile.

"Tell me more about yourself...why are you travelling here?" she said.

And she waited for the thief's reply..with her grandpecopeco Athha listening to the conversation too.

"What teh..." teh Crusader said, quite a little loud due to teh unexpected number of visitors - both human and monster. Voice was quite a little high pitched.

"Ohhhhhh, my favorite. Thief bugs." said teh thief. He started to give each thief bug 2 hits. After 3 minutes, all 20 of them are gone.

"Hm, I never knew you'd come in handy." said teh crusader.

"Well, you don't know my skills yet", answered teh thief, "Dycee." with a little emphasis on teh name.

Mimica stayed on teh grass, still not moving from teh fall. She turned her face to teh direction of teh crusader with fright.

Meanwhile...

"RUN KAELENCE!!"

Kaelence didn't know what to do. Mother Mathilda was trapped at teh corner of her room. She was chanting words, as if trying to summon a spirit. Lights were flashing, and there were different twinkling sounds heard. She looked at Kaelence with a demand to run as far as she could.

"Sweetie, go. You can't be a high priestess if you don't start moving."

"Holy Light !!" She has quite a number of dex and her casting was fast. She hit one high orc, but it wasn't enough. It still went on walking towards Mother Mathilda, slowly but aggressively, throwing everything its hand would touch. They were like mummies focused on one target.

"Mother Mathilda, please..." Kaelence voice cracked. She's so scared this time.

Mother Mathilda drew a very very strong ice swordmace. She casted spells on herself.

Blessing !! Increase Agi !! Assumptio !! Imposito Manus !!

Then she threw spells on teh high orcs.

Decrease Agi !! Lex Divina !! Lex Aeterna !!

"Run, my child. Look for Reianne now. It's almost dawn. Sun will rise in two hours. Take this scroll and these gems." She threw Kaelence a bag with a scroll and five blue gems.

Kaelence cried. She ran to teh door and went running more away from teh house. She ran and ran. Few meters away, she looked back at teh hut. There were lights. There were yelling, growling, and more flashing lights. She ran away, faster.

She knew she was far enough. She hid behind one of teh stone houses. Then she looked back at teh hut. It was like a little shining star from afar with all those flashing lights. Then suddenly, a huge explosion-like spark appeared. Then, complete darkness and silence.

Mother Mathilda... What will I do next?

She walked further and saw an empty cart. There was no one around, to she placed her muffler inside teh cart, hopped in, lied down and cried until she was asleep.

"HAHAHAHA nice move!!! the grand peco throw the crusader off!!! hahaha!Q!!!!!"

And then suddenly he saw something....

<as you can see... dynewind is confused because he see dycee from the back and because he's a thief from baby..... he's kinda slow in thinking... so he decide just to follow her every where she goes..... he feels bad if he's to attack the princess.... even though he bet it's not going to be easy... fighting a crusader that is... so he followed her till she meet some other friends... he's determined to step in and save the princess if something happened... but even after some encounter with enemy.... dynewind didnt do anything... just because.... at that time he have a stomachache for eating poisonus mushrooms... so he left for a while>

at Amatsu...the palace gleamed in colors of royal gold, purple and red...the light of the moon gave a calming feel inside the room...yet not everything in the palace is calm right now....

Prince Vaughn Athrun Alphonse paced the throne room, for the nth time, he heaved yet another sigh...

"How could this happen? a night before the wedding...and she went missing" He said glumly.

His grand adviser, a monk told him, "Don't worry your highness...we already hired the best people from Morroc to track her whereabouts!"

With that...the prince pacing stopped...with a startled look he said, "Morroc? the place known for assassins and thieves? are you sure we could trust those people?" he said quite worried.

The monk, seeing the frustration on the prince's face quickly said, "ho ho...don't worry your highness...we assure you everything will be alright"

Upon hearing that, he sighed again. He sat on the throne and put his hands on his pocket, from inside he took out a small box. He opened it to reveal a beautiful engagement ring.

"You know what? Since I was a child I dreamt of this day...the day I'll meet her" He said as he looked at the adviser. "You see...before my mother died, she always told me stories that...one day...I'll be marrying a wonderful princess...and that We'll love each other...and protect each other" He then closed the lid of the box. "I've never seen her...nor visited her...perhaps, it could be because...excited I may be...I'm also afraid..."

The monk simply shrugged...he never saw the prince so emotional before.

"You see...I have this picture of her in my mind...this princess...I always imagined her as caring...sweet....nurturing...kind..." He then turned red upon realizing what he's saying..."Well...you know...just like mother" he said with a smile.

***from afar..."Achooo!" Reianne sneezed then thought 'Someone must be thinking about me the wrong way'***

The prince then looked sadly at the monk. "Could it be because I'm not good enough? Could there be something wrong about me?" he asked the adviser.

Then the king's voice loomed from afar. "No my son...perhaps...she thinks the same way as you are" The king...accompanied by swordsmen entered the throne room, everyone inside the throne room except for the prince bowed down. "...it could be the reason why she went away"

With a wave of his hand...he dismissed the swordsmen and everyone in the room. "You too grand adviser...I want to have a father to son talk with him" he said to the monk. With an annoyed look the monk bowed and stepped out of the huge room.

"I don't seem to get you father" the prince replied quite confused.

"Well...you said it already....a while ago" He said patting his son;s head. "You said that you're excited...yet afraid at the same time"

THe king smiled at the prince. "How many times have I told you that your eyes looked so much like your mother's?"

The prince hang his head and smiled "Almost every day father" he replied.

"You're all grown up!...and now...you're about to get married!" he said. "Don't worry...everyone is doing their job...everything will soon be alright too my son"

Although there are things that the prince still cannot comprehend, he just embraced his father and said, "I hope so too...I hope so..." and he gave out a smile of relief.

That night...they talked about almost everything...with the moon as the witness of their father and son bond.

*meanwhile...in one of the palace rooms...*

"Drat it!! My plans have been destroyed because of that stupid princess' disappearance!!" a voice from inside said.

"..and that stupid prince mumbling 24/7 is driving me insane!! I need to change my plans..."

He then took a book form the shelves...

"If only I could get my hands on the rumored stones...then I could have the power...yes...." and with that, he gave out a creepy yet hearty evil laugh.

back at Morroc....

*insert bubbly background music*

"YEouch!! stop it cousin!!" Ray said

Reianne simply raised an eyebrow and thought 'what the? who's this now?'

"Erm don't get things wrong cousin...you see...this is the..." Ray blurted out when Reianne stopped him before revealing too much about her identity

"Ehem..." she coughed and elbowed Ray and gave him the 'you-keep-quiet' look. Again, using a masculine voice she said, "Hi! My name is Dycee...I'm just a wandering crusader on duty...I just bumped by him and well...we ended up together" with that, Reianne gave the mage a bow.

"ehehe...together" the mage said with one eyebrow raised. "Hmmm..." she said with the 'somethings-fishy' look

"Hey!! When she meant together...it's not together "together" If that's what you're thingking!!!" Ray said out loud.

"Owwww?" the mage simply eyed him curiosly and gave him a sly smile.

"CUT IT OUT!!!" Ray said with his fist on the air.

Reianne simply looked at them, dumbfounded, "ehehehe"

Then the mage looked at the crusader, "Hmmm...but I have to admit...he is quite handsome" she said with a wink.

'Eh? what the...', Reianne thought, her eyes blinking wide.

"Well Sir Dycee" the mage lend out her hand, "My name is Mimica" She said with a smile.

"ahehehe...nice knowing you" reianne said and shook her hand. She gve her a warm smile.

'good...now there's two of them',she thought. Reianne can't believe the luck she's getting

Reianne, using her female voice retorted, "Alright! Alright already!!" she said as she uncover her face. "Happy now"

Mimica's eyes widened, "NO WAY!!!" she then bowed low. WHen she stood up again, she looked at Ray...then she looked back at Reianne whose face is quite surprised at Mimica's reaction, she then looked at Ray again, her eyes wide with amazement "YOU ELOPED WITH THE PRINCESS?!!!! So you're the reason why she's missing all along?!!" she said with utter disbelief.

Reianne almost fell on the ground upon hearing Mimica's statement. She then said "No..that's not what it looks like"

Ray simply nodded in agreement. "Please let us explain first...you see..."

Reianne and Ray then explained to Mimica how they ended up together. (A/N: please read the past posts if you forgot some details). Upon hearing their tale Mimica still can't believe how lucky his cousin was for endind up in a journey with the princess.

After their story, the three of them ended up laughing when Ray jokingly mimicked Mimica when she said that she found the princess "handsome"...in return, Mimica gave Ray a big bump on the head with her fist!

"How did you found out my secret?" Reianne curiously asked.

"Well...I heard a girl's voice a while ago when the thief bugs came...but the real deal that revealed your secret is when I shook your hand" She said and winked. "I could tell that your touch is very feminine...and hey...I guess your hand is the softest and smoothest one I grasped in my entire life! Such a hand will not belong to a man!"

Reianne then held Mimica's hands again, "Please Mimica...please keep my secret...I hope that it's okay" she said earnestly.
