There seems to be a problem with the connection speed on ROHQ. Me, Dyne, Israel, and Yjin seem to have it, I don't know if anyone else has the same problem. I've had it for about a week now. It seems to happen only on the forum (for me at least) and only for this site (everything else works just fine for me). Sometimes I get "fatal errors."
So where does this problem come from, and how the hell do we fix it?

I don't know. I don't have problems getting here. I do on other websites though.
I thought it must have something to do with the earthquake that disrupted the internet sometime ago but then again, I think that should only affect our area.

i think that reason for the low speed is all becoz of the quake thing happened like a week ago in taiwan. But i just cant beleive that it reached here in the HQ or maybe not, lets just w8 for the explenation.

It was going slow for me here on the HQ, but it doesn't seem to be as bad anymore.

Part of the problem lies within the fact the site (coding side) has never been optimized fully. I have recoded some of the modules, but beyond the modules (pages), the page wrapper needs to be have it's efficiency maximized since it's something that parses every page load. Background applications such as determining if you're logged in, or you're a guest, and assigning those values etc.
Basically what it means is, there are more efficient means to code certain things. Secondary is that the box we're hosted on runs both a game server, the game server's website, and of course us, all in the same box... (personally I feel this is the biggest part of the problem)
When I get more time I will look into it, for the time being try to bugging antialize using the contact form.

Just to note the recent quake in Taiwan damaged 6 out of 7 underwater cables and repairs are estimated to be done by end of January but not guaranteed. Its why the internet in our area has slowed down if not been totally disrupted.

Well, this is my second visit today and so far everything seems to be working just fine (it still lags a little sometimes, but compared to what it was like earlier today, there's a world of difference).

kalajel, even though ragnarok is filled with the fillies doesn't mean I'm one. This website has been around since 2002, and one knows that it's only been available in the philippines for a couple years not since 2002. I live in the USA, hence why the server is so slow for them, the box is hosted in Texas by theplanet.com (ran by lunixmonster.org).

Since I don't want IdyotAko to post another off topic alert; it would seem that the speed problem is indeed fixed, although I still don't know what might have caused it. @ kalajel: No worries, but thanks for the apology. And I optimized the wrapper files by removing some variable redundancy... (PS. devnull of lunixmonster created a mysql index for the ratings and improved the load on the server 10 fold, thanks man!)

1) There's only one picture of fuse.
2) There's seem to be a lot of pictures missing (I believe the member's photo section was bigger)

I have a run-down forum that I used to have waaaay back when that a few of my friends attended, but anymore I just use it for an imagehost, lol. But if you're looking for an imagehost, maybe you could try MySpace? You get a lot of picture space with them, I think. Other than that not really sure what you could use for an imagehoster.
