Yes folks,you read that right... our badass demon hunting Dante from DMC fame has gotten an anime treatment.
Not to say that I am surprised, but I am quite excited about this one. The animation will be done by the folks who did Chobits (not an anime you would associate with violence) and Gungrave (not a superb hit, but a nice anime nonetheless). It looks like though that the production will be supervised by Itagaki Shin of Black Cat fame.
There is a promo trailer out, but it doesn't show any clips except for a couple of stills of Dante and is slated for a Spring 07 release (which basically means in a week or two... hehehe...).
I'm gonna see how this turns out. This could be a series I might put alongside Bleach... /ok

Meh... I lost interested in Dante after his 1st game. His attitude was too cocky for my likes. The action and stuff was fun though. The videogame transition I'm anticipating is the movie for Castlevania.

Whoa! Dont go calling gungrave a flop mister. I happend to really like that anime.
I think this upcoming DMC anime might have some potential. I mean sure the makers of chobits werent exactly into violence but they have wonderfull art work. Also gungrave while not the most popular. It had a really really good story.
Good art work and a nice story hmm, sounds like a winner too me. Also dont forget the succes of the game kingdom hearts. I mean squaresoft and disney, yeah at first you must admit everyone thought it would be a major failure but look at its success.
Heh then again im weird and all this is just my opinion so feel freet to ignore me lol. I for one though am anxious to see whats in store for us in 2 weeks.
