laptop specs:
-512mb ddr-ram
-ATI radeon xpress 200m with PCI express graphics up to 128mb shared memory.
-windows xp vista uwi edition.

Does it happen right away or after playing for a while? It could be due to your graphics card over heating. Laptops aren't the best with staying cool. I would suggest placing 4 jewel cases in each corner on your table and maybe placing a small fan to blow air underneath. Just a suggestion.

Update: also judging from your ram, that's not a whole lot, especially since most laptops video cards share memory with the system.
