And instead of gathering to fix this problem, humans instead compete to be greater, harming others in the process, justifying their actions as "Necisary Sacrifices", from theft to muder and beyond. Harming their own kind to become the greatest example of what shouldn't exist.

If being self-centered, malicious and cowardly is what it means to be human, I'd sooner see myself dead.

Humans arnt so self destructive as you think, some people do have to suffer but many of them refuse help, and another society needs something from them so they take it, fuck their feelings.

We are nothing but animals, but we are a lot smarter than any animal around. This is where the issue lies. Every living thing has a basic nature of survival. Us as human beings are able to assess situation and can adapt accordingly. Other beings go by instinct alone. The fact that we can think for ourselves is the root of most of the problems we all face today.
The fact of the matter is not everyone is born with the natural ability to assess and adapt. These things are learned through experience, much like any animal. We learn faster, and this makes us smarter. The smarter one becomes, the more advantageous it is for his/her survival.
My supervisor brought up a good point when we were talking yesterday on how society works nowadays. Some folks flourish from the demise of others. Certain type of ethnic groups are placed higher than another even if they are basically the same type of people. This sort of division is what drives certain governments to do what they do. Order through Chaos as some would say...

I could go on and on about this, but I don't have the time to preach. So I'll leave it as that.

Neo... when someone rants about something, respect their opinion. You can reply to it if you don't agree to it, but you don't have to be so harsh. This is another reason why our current society is whack... narrowmindedness and complete misunderstanding. Just those two alone can destroy a society.

Culture and society place obligations on the individual. When you live in society, if you don't adhere to the culture, you will be picked apart. Celebrities, presidents, are just examples of this we can see very clearly. These models are up on an even higher pedistol and even more subject to all forms of prejudice (even the untrue). It's impossible to go through life without experiencing some prejudice...

Question is, do you have the confidence in yourself to not take it on?
