The topic is - Top 100 Animes of all time.
I was hoping we could use this thread to compile a list. I myself have been very selective with what I've watched and are only going to include animes I intend on watching until the episodes run out, or have watched all the episodes of an anime.
*By the way the numbering of each is not intended to be a ranking system. They are in no apparent order. Just numbering it so when we reach 100, we'll know.
#1 Furi-Kuri (FLCL)
Date First Watched: April 2005
Description: Last year I started watching FLCL. I had it already on my harddrive sitting there for probably a year or longer, but I finally decided to crack it open. This 6 segment series spanning 30 minutes each, makes much sattire of other animes. A underlying theme in the anime can be considered sexual / wanting more out of life.
What makes this anime beautifully crafted (as it is), is the fact the animation is top notch. Nothing looks out of place (besides the unusualities such as canti transforming into a cannon and in some odd bizarre/beautiful way blows away them demon).
The OST or music used in this anime is by "The Pillows", a Japanese punk band whom is a favorite of mine after watching the anime. Most of the music accomanied together with the anime invokes the feeling of being comfortable with what you have, followed by wanting more out of life; in one word, restlessness. Other tracks have heavy guitar riffs (heavy metal), desperation type of approach that makes you feel like you're on the edge of the earth waiting to fall off.
A lot of things go completely unexplained with this anime, so if you're not into that type of thing you may not like it. This one requires you process the anime as one (maybe that's why it's only 6 episodes long).

2. Dragonball series
I don't have to say why this series is famous, but it's all the damn constant out of this world fighting that would last a couple of episodes... even if the storyline seems to be on the light side.
The series ended (for now) with the GT storyline. Rumor has it that there is another series coming out, but I've yet to even see that.
iRO Chaos Characters:
IdyotAko - 99/67 Lord Knight.............................Aima Lichu - 75/45 Sage
Aeag Sedah - 73/39 High Wizard................................Aima Taikdat - 81/50 Gank Rogue
Vendi Productus - 95/44 Forge Blacksmith.............Aima Bardu - 57/26 MS Bard
I_R_teh_1337!!! - 90/46 FS Priest.......................Aima Whupyah - 61/46 Battle Acolyte (Monk)
mAnUnUmPiT - 73/45 Hunter..............................Aima Alchy - 99/50 Battle Alchemist

Ah another anime packed with action, plus the Shinigami thing was kinda unique too
Not just one angel of death.. but an army O_O...Plus I find guys with big sword cool>.<
This anime is really amust see
(Quincies are also cool!!! But I wish they had something else than just a bow....
A gun would have been cooler>.< And what's with anime's and big boobed always
spaced out girls?! And what's with Ichigo's dad?!.. and blah blah blah....)

6. Macross Saga
Along with the Gundam series, this anime redefined giant robot combat along with an engrossing storyline. The series was brought over stateside and was renamed Robotech, which later on had about 2 more sequel series. Unfortunately, those Robotech series after the first one had little to nothing to do with the actual Macross storyline, which continued on in Japan.
If you like giant robot combat, you can never go wrong with this series.
A bit of nostalgia for those who remember... Roy Fokker's death to me was one of the key events in the series, if not one of the best moments.
