<One Piece I heard that was a good anime, but never got around to watching it. My friends told me not to watch the english Dub or else I wouldnt wanna watch it at all¬.¬

hmm you're safe so long as you stay away from all english dubbed anime o.o; (in my opinion because dubbing is evil >=o) but if you must then I find that adv has the best dubbing

What I've noticed is a lot of things are severally toned down when it's dubbed. It goes from a really cool anime to simply put - kid's only cartoons.

Oh God... don't get me started on naming all the animes I love... it would take me forever...

I am currently following One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Blood+ and also currently trying to watch Samurai 7 as well.

Oh man......I saw the English Dub version of FMA....OH GOD It was horrible i tell you! just horrible! *falls unconious*

Neko 21 years 5 hours ago wrote:

While it probably doesn't compare to the original Nihongo, it's not particularly bad in English.

Now The Slayers, that's another story, the engllish is horrid, Lina sounds like a Power-Ranger!

Well not only are the dubbed voices bad, but usually they take out everything that's important b/c it's not appropriate for "kids". That transform artwork into a miserable act... it's not much of a transformation, it's more of a discombobulation...

That's strange... I guess most Americans miss the point that Anime != Cartoons, and therefore try treating anime as "kids only" material. x_x

IdyotAko 20 years 11 months ago wrote:

Dubbed One Piece = piece of 5h!7...
Dubbed FMA = not so bad...
Dubbed Naruto = work in progress...
Dubbed Bo-bobobo-bo-bobo = Uhhh... yeah... WTF...
Dubbed Zatch Bell = never seen the Japanese version... nothing to compare to...
Dubbed InuYasha = Anything Viz is usually dubbed very well... /no1

I could name more anime... but like I said, it'll take the whole forum for me to finish it. /ok
