X-Men 3 is a good movie... very action packed and the story is fairly good. The stuff Fid mention are argueable points, which for the most part, I agree with. But there is one thing to remember here:
Death is not absolute in the comic world.
Fid, you are probably one of those folks who left just as the credits rolled, which would mean you missed the 5-7 second clip in the end of the movie that pretty much sets up for another sequel. Professor X dead? I think not... can we say Apocalypes? Only time will tell...
Let me go down the list Fid has...
1. I just said something about this above...
2. Agreed... the costume was messed up, but I did find the line very funny... hehehe...
3. This is the degree of freedom in the comic world... you can make stuff up. I'm actually surprised on some of the mutant powers showcased in the movie (never really thought of some of them myself...
).
4. I am as disappointed about this asmost XMen fans are. Hopefully this changes on the next movie.
5. Number 3...
6. Famke is fairly old already, and the movie didn't really do much justice to her look. Maybe in the sequel, they will have a "new" Jean Grey... but that's another story.
7. If you followed the comic book, there was somewhat of a love triangle between Jean, Cyclopes and Wolverine, so I wasn't too surprised about this.
8. Well... after seeing the scene with Prof X, we know how he croaked... hehehe...
9. Did he really? The last part of the movie shows him trying to move the chess pieces. The movie is based on comic books, where nothing is absolute and anything goes. So hmmm... /hmm
