Me and a couple of my guildmates already planned to do the quest together, but silly me, I logged back in a little later than they did, so I had to catch up on the quest. As soon as well all got to the end part... that's where it turned real ugly.

As part of the quest, once you present Mr. O'BrewSTER with the travel vouchers and stuff, you were suppose to meet back with him after 30 minutes. So while my other guildies waited, I finished mine up and got to about this point. When their time came, they clicked on the NPC and he told them to like go to the Clock Towers or something. This pretty much signified that they may have clicked on him too early and such. So they went off and decided to give Clock Towers a go... hoping to see if there is something there. Meanwhile, I was still waiting my turn. When it came, I clicked on him and didn't bother reading through the text screen and suddenly, I get a Mastela Fruit. I was like "WTF?" I tried clicking on him again and he was saying some other random crap that just repeats itself. I was beginning to wonder until someone there in town said when you get the Mastela Fruit, you already have the hat. So I check my inventory and lo and behold, the hat was there. I was a bit surprised considering the folks that was ahead of me was having trouble. So when I told them they came back and tried themselves, but to no avail. Pretty much, the decided to go to bed without finishing the quest for the meantime, and understandably, quite pissed. I ont the other hand went ahead and locked my LK down in Sphinx4 sporting the cap and a pair of Poacher Shoes. I've yet to see how fast my leveling will be with that combination on.

This morning, I look up at our forums since I posted what I think would be the solution to the folk's problems. Turns out, the NPC was a bit buggy so the GMs had to do a quick fix. Basically... you can talk to the NPC either on the top of the hour or 30 after the hour depending on what time you initially talked to him (ala the waiting part in The Sign quest), which was the fix I suggested.

So... am I surprised that the quest bugged? I'm actually surprised to have finished the quest with no problems... so yeah, I was expecting it to be buggy.

Hopefully, my guildies got their caps, coz I felt really bad that I got mine before they did, yet they were the ones who did a lot of the leg work finding the spots and stuff.

So, did anyone else (who plays in iRO) have the same issue, or you haven't done it yet? I will probably post a short guide on the quest when I do it on another character, unless Neo beats me to it. All I got to say is... +50% exp per kill for a month? Yes please...

But I think the dang cap is tacky... but that's my personal opinion. Yet this is coming from an LK who wears a damn thong on his head...
