Okay, since my blog is currently inactive, I figure I would write it here.
Yesterday was awesome for a few reasons.
A) I went to the leg doctor, and got my leg scanned at my leg came back clean! Both for abnormal growth, and the fitting of the prosthesis (for anyone wondering last year I had bone cancer there)
B) I went to dinner with my family to this well known local mexican grill called Chipotle. We ate there and directly afterwards it was time for my meeting with ACS: Relay for Life (google it if you don't know what it is). So we get there and I figure it's just a normal meeting. I was volunteered by the host guy to come up front. He told me to turn around, and they counted down 3 to 1, and told me to turn around. I started hearing happy birthday sung to me. I didn't know what was going on. Everyone was in on it and suprised me for my 21st birthday. The meeting actually was a birthday party for me, planned behind my back since the previous event called Prelay nearly 4 weeks ago
. As you already know my birthday was 06/06/06 so, it came as a huge suprise because I wasn't expecting anything like this. Even my parents were in on it
Only exception, but it still worked out of what made yesterday great was my trip to the DMV (department of motorvehicals). I hate that place with a passion. I waited in line only to find out that they DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS. Only cash, check, or money order. I told the guy I didn't know and that the bank was just a block away and if I could just quickly run and grab some money. Anyways, in the long haul, the whole event there took me an hour and 40 minutes between waiting, running to the bank, them collecting info/picture. Since I just turned 21, they give you a few weeks to renew after your birthday...
Awwwright, getting onto the last part of this post. I was wondering - would some of you consider donating towards my team "Decades"? I am participating not only as the online chairman, but also as a team captain because of my bout with cancer last year. I would appreciate any extra support you guys can give me. So if you're interested, and once I get the website setup, I'll contact you either through this forum or PM system.
