i just moved into a new room in my grandmother's house 'cuz my grandmother's house is nearer to my school so that my traveling time would be less than an hour. my problem is that, i'm having trouble sleeping. the room is like 5x bigger than my old room. and it has a 5ft. high, 3ft. mirror next to the bed. i can't remove the mirror 'cuz it's attached to the wall. every night, i get the feeling that something might appear in the mirror. and that makes me paranoid and it keeps me up all night. i haven't slept soundly for 5 freakin days.

could everyone give me some advice? i REALLY need some sleep...Crying

I'll give you sleeping help.

1. You can drink hot milk before going to sleep. Milk has something in it that makes you relax. Content It's a fact.

2. You can also take a warm bath before going to sleep. Content

3. Try reading a book. It will tire your eyes and make you fall asleep.

4. You can hang a piece of cloth on teh mirror if you're afraid. Plus, you can sleep with a night light / lamp on.

5. Ask your grand mother if she can sleep with you. <3

I hope I was able to help.Tickled PinkTickled Pink

Guys your advice is great, but it doesn't take away from the fact it's a freaky ass room! I think there is some mental issues behind this. You're away from home, in a room that doesn't comfort you like your own room, and there's a mirror with all sorts of different shadows reflecting... yah, I would be a little unsettled too.

I think anyone in your shoes would feel atleast a little scared.

Uhm, my advice to you would be keep a small nightlight on, NOT one that doesn't give off very much light. I don't suggest putting a blanket over the light, you probably will need one of those plugin nightlights with the very small bulb. Get one with a horsey riding an rainbow on it Happy

or put a boombox in ur room... set it so it play for about 1 hour... soft relaxing music...
so u'll eventually sleep and the music will stop after that... save electricity hehehe

Heh i totally agree with fuse on this one.It is more than likely a mental thing. My advice to you is to furnish your new room to be similar to your old one.Like you know hang up posters and stuff. Also try moving the bed so that you cant look at the mirror so it will stay off your mind, and hang up family portraits and stuff. You know to remind you of home.

Hmm well for physical help sleeping.Excersice for a bit before you eat dinner. Then take a warm shower. You will drift into bliss full sleep in no time trust me.
